How can you become really successful as a Christian?

Fruits and success

Success is like fruits that ripen just in due season

Yes, that’s all you need. Well, how?

I will show you what the psalmist (David) wrote first, in his very book of Psalms. Mind you, this David rose from nothing to becoming the ultimate king of Israel. He never lost a single battle in his reign, and his throne is everlasting, now occupied by Christ.

This is what he says in Psalms 1:1-3 NKJV

If of all lines, David had to begin his book this way, this shows you how much being vigilant and a keeper of God’s statutes helped him in his career as king. We go on to see another group, which is obviously the Israelites as they got delivered from captivity till they made it to the promised land. However, this could not have been possible if a certain man didn’t receive this promise—a covenant between God and Abraham.

In Genesis 17:1-2 NKJV

Israel is what it is because of this day. The Lord specifically urged Abraham to walk before the Lord blamelessly, faithfully. Most of us may wonder how on earth can we be blameless before the Lord?

Here is what the Bible said about Abraham’s righteousness that led to his covenant, in Genesis 15:5-6 NKJV

The last phrase shows us that Abraham was righteous because of his faith in the Lord’s word. Do you believe in Him?

We see many other figures who are blessed and become successful, from Job, Solomon, Daniel, among others. One thing about these three people: as much as they have had influence or riches, they never relented in their walk with God. And that’s what made them stand out and become successful.

Mark 4:30-32 NKJV

Jesus shows us a vivid picture of what kingdom growth looks like. From one man, Abraham, the greatest nation is seen: Israel. David, a shepherd and dishonorable son, became the greatest king of Israel. In his lineage, Jesus also came. Joseph, hated by his brothers and sold into slavery, later imprisoned on false charges, became second in command to Pharaoh and later made the whole country indebted to his master.

This is just a speck in the millions of stories of success we see in the Bible. Many more are happening around you. Rarely can a man who knows his God fail to become successful.

Daniel 11:32 NKJV
