He came down (God Himself) and became flesh, lived an ordinary life-a carpenter’s son. He was tempted, tested, mocked, persecuted, suffered, betrayed, tortured and killed.
He personally experienced our everyday troubles, hungered and sweated. Without supernatural help or favour. He was like you. Long suffered, worked hard and was tempted on a daily basis. Despite all this tribulation, He did not sin. He did not conform to the patterns of this world.
To ensure He paid the full (perfect) price to become the ultimate sacrifice—for all of us. Jesus lived not for Himself like most of us but lived; for you and me.
He chose not to sin because He was our only hope of getting delivered from the lawful predator.
He was betrayed, mocked, beaten ruthlessly, stripped naked⸺all without a crime, not even a sin.
He died, in turn Barnabas(you and me) was released. You were set free and he was captured.
Is there any greater act of love? Who among men can dare, give his life for someone else?
The Reward!!!
Eternal life, for you and me. Someone actually died so that you can be set free?
Yes, Jesus did.
And He arose in full glory, after defeating death(sin)⸺for you and me. Then ascended to the Father to take on His inheritance as the Son of God.
‘The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together. ‘
We are the ‘heirs of God’ the ‘Sons of God.’
If Jesus overcame death for our sakes, that means He fought the battle and won it already? The battle we fight has already been finished!
We are just confirming it on a daily basis, by exercising our Authority as ‘Sons of God.’ Satan fears you, he already lost the battle!!!
Are you courageous enough to show him?
That he lost and you won.
There is no reason why you are still losing to the devil because the battle you are fighting has already been finished. You are fighting from a point of victory, the advantage is in your hands.
‘Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.’
You are the ‘Son of God’ through Jesus Christ our Lord and saviour. You got this—for free.
But does this give you free license to sin? Find out more here
Or does it mean God has to forgive you every time you sin? Really?
