god vs satan: Is Satan Really the opposite of God?

God versus satan

The war in heaven before the serpent was cast out

In Ezekiel 28

God refers to the king of Tyre (Satan) as the anointed cherub that covers; one of the closest  angel types (cherubim) to God. If you read  in Ezekiel 10:1 KJV

They are recorded carrying God’s throne  and proclaiming his name. So if Lucifer were one of the cherubs, he must have been their leader he used to cover. (See Ezekiel 28: 14) Like a choir leader of a church. His power was great and it’s still with  him actually. In Ezekiel 28 there is an exponential show of how much power had been accorded  to him while he was still pure. Until iniquity was found in him… and he was expelled out of  heaven. Because he defied God and persuaded other angels to join him in the rebellion which  they lost and as a result were cast out to the earth. (Revelation 12:7-9)

For instance; a country like the US of A may have a rival country that isn’t fine with them being the super power. And the US of A finds out that this small country—maybe N. Korea, hates them. And N. Korea managed to send spies into the USA and defect some influential figures to topple the administration. However the president of the USA finds out about the plot and immediately wages war on N. Korea and sends all the defected people in his administration into exile to Antarctica plus the president of N. Korea and his cabinet.

If you look keen enough, there is not a chance for N. Korea to stand a chance of winning the war (against this US of A) but just sort of has a grudge and is jealous of the fact that the US of A is in charge. The two are not in equal power, not at all. One is much greater than the other but the thinking of one party (N. Korea) is in direct opposition to the US of A.

This is the same with Satan, for a fact there is no record where God is personally fighting Satan  in the Bible. Satan aspires to be like ( become) God. (Ezekiel 28:6) And this initiates jealousy, pride within him hence trying to persuade some of the angels to fight against God and cease His position. Which wasn’t a success.

In Rev 12, the arch angel defeats the serpent and its angels and judgement is passed for them to be  cast down from heaven unto earth. Where they are.

Angels VS Demons

So Satan, in his thinking (is in direct opposition with God) but isn’t as powerful as Him. Because God is eternal, creator, omnipresent, omnipotent and so forth; Lucifer has a little glory but doesn’t come close to those characteristics. Satan is powerful, has some glory and talent (Ezekiel 28:13-15); also very persuasive but can’t stand a chance against God. If only Micheal and his angels fought against Lucifer and prevailed against it, how much more can God Himself do?

God created us all, visible and invisible.

Genesis 1:1 KJV

This makes all heaven come from God—that includes all spiritual beings and angels. Satan  having been one of them falls in that category.

 Isaiah 45:9 NKJV

This is God showing His sovereignty over His creation. He will do whatever He wants or wishes  because He is the creator. That’s His authority. If we are the clay, then God does whatever He  wishes with us, mind you even Satan was created by God.

Now how can clay speak against its porter?

That’s literally impossible. So Satan has not the slightest strength in him to prevail against the  creator. The creator decides what happens next, what happens now and what the past should  look like. Read that again.

If it were you, and you are a porter. Can the clay say to you what you should make of it? Or what it is supposed to become?

Isn’t it your jurisdiction and authority to decide whether to make a cup or plate or statue out of it.  After all, it’s yours.

God is supreme: Satan is just one of the products God formed out of clay. And what can mere clay do to its porter apart from become what He wants it to become?

God and Satan have contradictory thinking but God is supreme. And so they are not opposite  although the way they work: each seems to be in opposing directions.

Matthew 11:11

Jesus emphasises solemnly that even the least in His kingdom is greater than the greatest of the  world. Even a mere young believer in Christ, is greater than Satan- the greatest in the kingdom of  darkness.

Yes, in the authority God gave His sons through Jesus even the least among them is more  powerful than Satan.

So how can Satan even be the opposite of God? When you, a true follower of Christ, have more authority than Satan!
