(Where Sin Increased, Grace Increased Even More)
Moreover the law entered that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace abounded much more. (Romans 5:20)
The law came to expose and highlight sin—to make trespasses plain and undeniable.
Yet where sin multiplied and grew strong, God’s grace multiplied even more—superabundantly, overwhelmingly.
This reveals a profound truth: where sin once reigned, God’s mercy now reigns even greater.
It is not that God desires us to keep sinning so grace can increase. Far from it.
He longs for us to repent from our wicked ways, turn back to Him, and walk in His righteousness.
That is why He declares:
“If a righteous person turns from their righteousness and commits sin and does the same detestable things the wicked person does, will they live? None of the righteous things that person has done will be remembered. Because of the unfaithfulness they are guilty of and because of the sins they have committed, they will die.”
“But if a wicked person turns away from the wickedness they have committed and does what is just and right, they will save their life.” (Ezekiel 18:26-27)
God takes no pleasure in the death of the sinner.
He delights in repentance.
All He wants—is you.
He wants your heart turned toward Him.
“Come now, let us settle the matter,” says the Lord. “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.” (Isaiah 1:18)
God is not searching for already-righteous people.
He came for sinners—for you and me.
Come just as you are. He will never cast you away.
Jesus stands waiting.
“Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.” (Revelation 3:20)
The invitation is wide open—to anyone, from anywhere, in any circumstance.
His grace is available to all who believe.
To those who feel empty, broken, or lonely:
The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let the one who hears say, “Come!” Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life. (Revelation 22:17)
It is free.
All you must do is believe. He will do the rest.
Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.” (John 6:35)
His grace is abundant for every person.
And it is especially powerful in our moments of weakness.
When Paul pleaded for relief from his thorn, the Lord answered:
And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness…” (2 Corinthians 12:9)
God’s love shines brightest when you are at your lowest—when life feels like it is falling apart.
In those exact moments, His mercy and grace are more than enough to carry you through.
All you need to do is place your faith in Him and lean on Him.
You will never be disappointed.
Even Paul urged the believers:
Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. (Hebrews 4:16)
I urge you too: come boldly to the throne of grace.
You are not too sinful to be forgiven.
The righteous people, apostles, prophets, and saints we admire in Scripture were not better than you.
They were ordinary people—just like you—who cried out for mercy and grace, and God carried them through every trial.
That is why they are counted worthy.
Take Paul himself—a man who became a one-man army for the gospel, spreading Christ across continents.
Was he superior to you?
No. He was picked up in a dark, fallen state.
He humbly confessed:
For I am the least of the apostles and do not even deserve to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. But by the grace of God I am what I am… (1 Corinthians 15:9-10)
That is the transforming power of grace.
It is greater than sin.
It overcomes darkness completely.

And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it. (John 1:5)
So it is with God’s mercy, grace, and love for all who believe in Him.
They shine brighter than any shadow.
And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free!
Where sin once increased, grace now reigns even more.
Come to Him today—just as you are.
His grace is sufficient.
His mercy is waiting.
Believe, repent, and receive the free gift of life in Christ. The reason why Jesus justifies us is because… Read more here
