This question hit me hard just minutes after closing my Bible:
Do I truly love God, or am I mainly seeking a miracle?
It takes real courage to admit when someone—or the Holy Spirit Himself—points out that you’re in the wrong. Yet that painful honesty is the very first step toward maturing in faith.
When the Holy Spirit convicts and deep down you know it’s the truth but your mind is trying to sugar coat it and make you seem righteous, as though you seek God without an expectation from Him.
Do you really?
We all are guilty. That’s why God says in Romans 3:10-18 NKJV
“ As it is written:
“There is none righteous, no, not one;
There is none who understands;
There is none who seeks after God.
They have all turned aside…”
This glimpse which the apostle picks from psalms shows how far we are from righteousness. For do we pray because we truly love God or know it is of some benefit to us?
What shall we say unto Him on the day of judgement?
That we are sorry or we were just looking out for ourselves?
A harlot; we have become, constantly seeking the good things of God (signs, miracles and wonders) but very reluctant and less interested when it comes to self repentance.
How much more are you going to continue committing adultery?

Like a cheating wife who expects to be fed by the husband at the same time, you have become! Worshipping signs and wonders and judging all pastors and teachers if their services have not super natural manifestations.
Forgetting God isn’t only in wonders and signs but He prides in our humility, repentance and in our being just to one another. Yes, even to those who have cheated us before.
For how do you expect the Father to forgive your sins on a daily basis when you can’t even let go of a grudge because a friend offended you?
This isn’t to condemn you but to show you that the way of the Lord is perfect. And you should not only expect meat and drink but also bumps and roadblocks. For only those who have been tested and matured are ready to share in His glory.
So before we ask around which pastors have got power, let’s ask ourselves: How is my relationship with God?
God’s power, signs and wonders are still very much available and nothing can ever deprive them. They are innumerable. If He can make life out of nothing, then how many more miracles can He make out of nowhere?
Getting right with God is the easiest way to attract Him into your life. In the secret place, He lies. When you repair your relationship with God— there is less reason for you to seek big pastors and spiritual churches to attain a miracle because God will be right there to perform it before you even ask.
The moment you start seeking God with all your heart—wanting to know and become intimate with Him. The miracles will become a secondary issue.
So how can I get that miracle?
By doing what I just said above. Just as Jeremiah the prophet nails in Jeremiah 29:13 “And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.”
This calls for putting our needs, desires, fears and worries aside and seeking Him with pure intentions. There, He will be. And we shall know Him and He will reveal Himself to us. And in so doing we shall be transformed.
